    Is traditional SEO dead?

    Absolutely not. Despite what you might have read from LinkedIn ‘gurus’ recently, SEO is not dead. In fact, in some ways it’s become more important, as businesses need to continue to find ways to dominate organic search across more platforms than ever before.

    This is the process of creating clear data that’s easy to read for AI search crawlers. That means using precise schema markup, optimising for conversational queries and conversation chains, and building brand authority across the web so that AI engines pull your business into their generated summaries over competitors.

    AI Overviews is now the very first block that appears on the Google search results page, particularly for informational queries. If your audience is asking questions about a particular service or product that you offer, and your business is the first cited in AI Overviews, they’re much more likely to then click through to your website. This displays authority and relevance, key metrics that contribute to stronger conversion rates.

    AI SEO is still an inexact science, but overall timelines remain similar to traditional SEO. You can see results in as little as one month, particularly for less competitive queries. However, 3-6 months remains the benchmark for more meaningful outcomes. At the end of the day though, there are no concrete guarantees available when it comes to organic search marketing!
